Bhed-chaal.
The consumption led “growth” model is destructive in every aspect of life and the only obstruction to being content and happy. And it is so very easy to see through if you just press pause on constant unthought action, action which is an imitation of your surrounding. You want money to buy a car which will make it convenient to go to your job that you don’t like. And that money is what you are going to the job for. It is such an obvious consumerism led cycle of sorrow. There is more than enough in this world for everyone’s needs if we just drop these made up thought constructs which tell you having a fancy car and a fancy house is what you need to be happy. It is very easy to see that it is a trap a vicious cycle which is not only destroying the planet, which is very well capable of providing everyone with their needs in a sane setting of living, by carrying on this idiotic idea of increased demand equals increased production equals higher gross domestic product idea of “growth”. It isn’t growth at all in fact it is depleting the natural capital plus our potential for happiness and hence it is the antithesis of progress. We do not need technology at this scale, we do not need most of the things we have come to consume as a norm just because everyone else is consuming it and it is all shoved down our throats subtly through advertising to satisfy the greedy who have this system in place because they cant seem to have enough of anything, who are the actual degenerates. And it has come to a point where we idolise them? Our entire life’s goal is to become just like them? You have to be DAFT beyond comprehension to want to be “rich” in the traditional sense of the word. They are the enemy or maybe they too are blinded by self-interest to see the fact of what they are doing to this world. We need to open our eyes to this. There is an urgent need to rise above.
